Story:
Of all of the SPC stuff we had to do, I was most worried about the Free Will race… As it came to our turn to go- we were the last ones- the other jockeys with their cats disappeared altogether, and the staff came out to warn us that there was an oncoming storm, and asked us if I still wanted to race. I agreed. Living in Texas, we didn’t have much time to spend in Florida, and I was out of hotel money.
We did the Free Will race alone- with no other cats. There was something magical about the storm-it seemed. Somehow, not only was Lady calm, but the storm seemed to urge her on- running faster than she ever had, it seemed. She was serious, too.
As for me, I got lost with the scenery, and as we finished I wished it were not over- but the rain had just caught up.
I don't know how many of you have been watching me, but this digital piece being this good surprised me considering that before hand (6 months ago)...
